A volcano, a catapult, a foot and two fluffy baby ducks!

Well it's been quite eventful these past couple of weeks.  We started out with Elaina and Nate both having classroom projects.  Elaina had to demonstrate a landform and so she chose to build a volcano.  We had fun working on it together and she did a great job! Nate had to build a catapult for social studies class so Brad and Nate got busy in the shed.  Nate was amazed that Brad had everything he needed and they didn't have to even go to Home Depot for supplies.  I told Nate that his daddy has always been someone who stocks up...hence the 100 rolls of toilet paper in our house at a time(hahaha).

We started out May with a disappointing injury for Nate.  He is sidelined with a fractured foot.  He is hopeful to start playing ball again in the next week.  We feel bad for him as he really loves to be in the game, not to mention the 3 vs.3 basketball tournament that is going on at his school right now.  Being a spectator has never been Nate's idea of being in the game.  We are praying that this foot heals fast and he will be swinging a bat before you know it.  Brandon is in full swing with Baseball as well and he is loving it.  He cracks me up because when he swings...he swings right out of his shoes.  The kid can hit the ball and he loves it! Elaina had her first softball game on this past Monday.  She pitched the first inning and really did well.  It will be fun to watch her blossom as a pitcher since her mommy was one.

Ella is in a wedding at the end of this month.  She is so excited it cracks us up.  She talks about her wedding and her boyfriend(ring-bearer) walking her down the aisle.  She looks so cute in her dress.  I look forward to seeing her and my cousin Allie in there dresses together. It's amazing how fast time goes...it seems like yesterday that I was making Allie mac n cheese and reading Samantha books to her.  She's all grown up and such a beautiful woman.  I can't wait to see what is yet to come for her and her new hubby....hopefully only the best.

We added two new members to our family about 10 days ago.  Elaina wanted baby ducks so Donny and Sunny made there debut..they are growing like weeds but Elaina is doing such a great job caring for them.

Brad and I are as busy as ever shuttling kids to all of their events. School is out starting this Friday at 11:00 a.m. for Brandon and Elaina.  I'm excited and sad in the same breath. They both have had outstanding teachers and I will miss them.

God Bless,
Marci
